Desert Seeds

Desert Seeds are not a band but are Christians who write praise music for children and teenagers. Currently they are comprised of two members, Ian Moore and Mack McMullan who both live in Ireland.

They met at Chrysalis children's summer camps and played together on the praise and worship team for many years. When a vacancy arose in the position of praise leader Ian was asked to step in and that began the birth of the Desert Seeds project.

He started writing simple songs for the children that attended these camps. They had to be biblical, simple and sung to God. They had to be songs and melodies that teenagers enjoyed singing. They had to be accompanied by actions that would involve the worshippers in praising using more than just their voices. They had to be a mixture of boisterous praise and gentle worship. They had to be fun!

'Everyday' and 'This Little Light' were two of the first songs written and remain firm favourites today. Many more songs were written and soon after the recording of the album started in Mack's studio. Through many twists and turns we arrive here with the album Shine.
